About the brand
HEVEA was founded in Denmark in 2009 to create alternatives to conventional plastic products using natural rubber and other carefully selected materials. Its first product was a natural rubber pacifier (2009); Alfie the rubber duck followed in 2010, and Kawan arrived in 2012, named after the Malay word for “friend” — the listed duck is the Mini size of that Kawan line. What the brand publishes
HEVEA's own care page states, in a single safety line, “Meets EN 71/REACH, CPSIA/ASTM, CHPA/CCPSA safety requirements” — all unnumbered, with no testing steps, frequency, or process described. No lab is named on a HEVEA page; the lab names SGS, Intertek, and Bureau Veritas appear only in retailer and distributor wording repeating HEVEA claims, not as first-party statements, and no lab report or report number was found. The same care page warns that HEVEA toys are produced from natural rubber (latex) and allergic reactions, while rare, do occur. Source: HEVEA care page.
The honest caveats
No recall found in this pass
No HEVEA recall surfaced in this research pass; that is a search result, not proof that no recall has ever existed.
