About the brand

Francis Goldwyn established Manhattan Group, LLC, a toy manufacturer, in 1978, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Manhattan Toy describes itself as pioneers of developmental play, with an award-winning portfolio of 500+ products. At brand level it gives no materials statement; what it does give is sourcing: close relationships with production partners in China, Vietnam, and Thailand, certified by the International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI). What the brand publishes

Manhattan Toy's Our Story page states its toys undergo rigorous testing to meet CPSIA, ASTM F963, EN71, and Canada's safety regulations. No testing steps, test list, frequency, in-house versus third-party split, or lab is described there, so this is a compliance claim, not a described testing program — which is why the listed Manhattan Toy products sit at Compliance-stated, not Program-backed. The honest caveats

Winkel recall 17-191 — check your item and lot

Winkel Colorburst activity toys, CPSC recall 17-191 (July 20, 2017): colored plastic tubes can become brittle and break into small pieces. The listed Loop rattle & teether IS a Winkel (model 200930), but the recall names different item numbers (206880 / 206871) and specific lot codes. This page does not claim the listed Winkel is recalled, and does not claim it is clear either — check your own item and lot codes against the recall scope.

Skwish is a different line; nothing else found

Skwish Color Burst is a different line from Winkel Colorburst despite the shared wording. No other Manhattan Toy recall found in this research pass names a listed product.
